I've been singing and playing piano for most of my life, and the bulk of that time has been spent in choirs. Choral music is good for the soul, and I feel everyone should sing in a choir at some point in their life. The camaraderie, the feeling of well-being, the increased brain function...all of these and more are important. I am so excited to be a part of TFAI and I am eager to share my passion for choir to the homeschool community!
BIO
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises! Psalm 98:4
I hold a State of Florida certification in Music Education for K-12. I studied choral music and piano performance at Florida State University where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Music Education. I have worked for over thirty years as a choral director, music instructor, choral arranger and performer.
God has called me to the homeschool community, and I am excited to continue helping teens see their value and realize the unique “superpowers”/gifts God has blessed each one of them. I believe choral music strengthens the feeling of togetherness, reduces stress and depression, and improves discipline and teamwork.
