Jim Booher

I am eager to join the Titusville Fine Arts Initiative staff to help high school youth explore the importance of quality writing. My experiences have taught me that well-written documents include more thatn grammar and punctuation. Well-written material is a means of conveying thoughts and ideas to others in a clear and concise form.

Bio

I grew up in southeastern Indiana. When I graduated from high school in 1967, I could enlist in the military, or the government would draft me. Thus began the incredible journey that God had in store for me. The Navy sent me from my Indiana hometown to Greece and Vietnam. After four years, I married my high school sweetheart and went to college. During my undergraduate years, I accepted a commission from the United States Army. The army sent our family to live in Germany for three years. After the army, I found employment with an aerospace firm at Cape Canaveral. Throughout all these travels, God was and is with us. With each experience, God taught me various styles and forms of writing, each with its unique purpose.

Now in retirement, God is teaching how to use the lessons of the past to become a Christian fiction writer. My first publication will appear in Modern Living magazine in February 2026.
