Meridith Scherer

One of my greatest loves in life is taking pictures that tell a story. I am very passionate about using the arts to glorify the Lord and encourage others. I love finding beauty in His creation and everyday life all around us. I believe God is the master artist and He gave us gifts of creativity to use to bring joy, illustrate truth and spread His love. I am so thankful for TFAI and am overjoyed and beyond grateful to be part of it!

Bio

Hello! I'm Meridith Scherer and I am so excited to help inspire a new generation to fall in love with photography!

Here are some facts about me:

  • Our family moved to Titusville from Ohio in 2012 when my husband got a job teaching Digital and Web Design at Astronaut High School.

  • We have one amazing 12-year-old daughter Marlo.

  • We started homeschooling with Florida Virtual School in 2020 right before schools closed so we could spend more time traveling and with family.

  • I have been taking photos all my life starting with a little 110 Kodak Camera in the 70's as a little girl and have a small collection of unique and antique cameras.

  • I have been taking photos professionally for over 12 years. I received a Certificate in Digital Photography and Photoshop from Columbus State Community College in Columbus, Ohio.

  • I have worked as a Photography Assistant, 2nd Shooter, Event Photographer and Portrait Photographer and at one time had a little Photo Booth for weddings and events.

  • I grew up in a family that was involved in music. I spent over 10 years working in the Christian Music Industry and met my husband there. My father worked in Radio and our family worked together on the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame that he founded.

  • I have been teaching adults how to use essential oils for over 10 years.

  • At my church I work with the Children's Ministry teaching lessons and doing arts and crafts with kids. I lead a Bible Study for Middle School girls and we do lots of crafts too!
